ATTENTION PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS:
WE NEED YOU!!

Please use Schoology and the Parent Portal to monitor your child's progress in school.  At Hutch Tech, it is safe to assume that your child receives homework and a variety of writing and research based labs and project assignments in every class on a regular basis.  Be sure to assist them with attendance and time management so that they do not fall behind in school.

Accessing Schoology will give you a clear idea of the assignments, due dates, and materials for each class.  Every teacher has a Schoology page.

Accessing the Parent Portal will inform you of your child's ATTENDANCE, GRADES, and any warnings of missing assignments.  You can set the portal to notify you on your cell phone if your child has been marked absent or when assignments are scored and grades entered.

Click here for information on how to set up parent accounts in Schoology and the Parent Portal.  Watch this video to learn how!

SUNY at Buffalo (UB) is actively recruiting grade 9 and 10 students for its amazing Upward Bound Program.  Please read the letter below for more information.  Parents can access their child's Guidance Counselor by selecting the Guidance tab above.

This memo explains the BPS directives regarding grading during virtual school.  Students with averages below a 65 will receive an Incomplete and be expected to discuss with their teachers what they need to do to finsih the first quarter work.  The Incomplete will be changed to a numeric grade at the end of 2nd quarter.  Please read this document and refer your questions to Guidance or Adminstrators.

Grading Guidance from the District

Attention Parents!

Recently the district began to push out the Forticlient VPN to student devices. Encourage students to restart their computer regularly. They will eventually see the Forticlient icon on the desktop.

Students should log in at the beginning of the day and stay on the whole day.

This will provide them the following features:

  • Faster Internet
  • Get the Teams App
  • Fix scripts
  • Pull updates
  • Access to Software Center

Here are the directions for students to access and log in.

Thanks and reach out if you have any questions.
